Donnie if you started a Bethesda fan club on Pego, then I might just start my own club. The W.H.S.O.R Group "The We Hate Son Of Raiden" fan club I'm just assuming here but I think it would be fairly popular.

I side with the owners. They pay for the web space. As they say, it's their party and they'll cry if they want to.

If they cry, then we all have no choice but to join them in one, massive sobfest. Figuratively, of course.

Me thinks someone just started playing Fallout 3.

Get off the Jet bro.

See, I can do game references too.

LUCKY'S ON FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRE

I'm think I'm ok with how things are.

*watches you burn*

DELIGHTFUL

Wouldn't bother me, the Fable sections on here are about as dead as roadkill, save for the random visitor asking for help on something he/she can only pray to get an answer for. And unlike Lionhead, at least with Bethesda we know where their future lies and can expect many more games from them. Really, how many of you here even still play Fable anymore sans that occasional scratch of the nostalgia itch?

Granted the market for Beth communities are already heavily dominated.. I see no real harm in being a Lionhead/Beth board with a couple sections for Fallout & Elder Scrolls.

Okay, so, I think it's a terrible idea. Becoming a Bethesda fansite would almost feel like we were selling out. Fable isn't perfect and I'm probably one of its biggest critics, but this is a place that fans of the series are welcome. Whether or not they want to come; this is where they can go. The Lionhead forums are non-existant now and that new Dead Hamster place isn't easy to find.

Like Scotty said, the Bethesda communities are heavily dominated. Two of their most popular game franchises: Elder Scrolls and Fallout have at least two wikis each, several forums and HUGE modding communities. Simply switching to a more popular series wouldn't solve any problems, we'd just become another fansite amongst the hundreds. Whereas with Fable - we're one of the few. We'd probably get even less traffic if things were to be switched up.

Things could be worse, it's natural for forum activity to go up and down and right now, yeah, it's pretty down. Hopefully Lionhead will pull their fingers our of their arses and make us some Fable 4 and things will heat up.

Besides we still a good time don't we guys?

Guys?

When you put it like that you make a good point, there's a lot of good memories here and aside from FableTLCmod & Dead Hamster I can't think of any other communities (maybe the wiki). Still, I adore Bethesda games and would be nice to be able to properly discuss various topics for some of their games among the other fans here without losing the place, cluttering up a section, or going through the trouble of an entirely new board.

Hell, I don't know. Maybe a sub-forum in Greatwood Park could suffice.

Dunno. It'd be kinda pointless having an entire section for one company. Why not have one for Bioware or Blizzard(terrible examples but I'm tired)?

Perhaps a section for ALL other RPG manufacturing companies and their associated games would be fine.

It's true we don't know if there will be another Fable. There's a very real possibility no more Fable games will be made. Like, ever.

On the other hand if another Fable game did come out, this place would probably wind up being top dog. Like, the developers needn't bother creating official forums big. We'd have them outgunned in web content, users, and search engine optimization. In fact, it would probably be more worth it to let the site remain exclusively Fable. It's worth more like this than it is switching over and being several years behind in the race for a different game.

Do we turn our cloaks or have faith?

Who knows. I'd love to hear Steve's thoughts on the matter but I can understand if he isn't thrilled at the idea of exploring possibilities, even if it's only hypothetical.

We already do have a generic gaming section.

That's why I said a section specifically for RPGs --or for games that aren't RPGs to keep them separate. I don't know. It just seems silly to just randomly pop in a section for Bethesda on a Fable forum. Why not include all other RPGs too?

And another thing, if we did add Bethesda-specific sections, why would an Elder Scrolls/Fallout fan join just because of that section and not a forum specifically made for those games e.g Skyrim Nexus; Bethesda's Forums. Why buy the apple when you can have the entire fruit basket?

 dont want people getting the wrong idea, I wasnt saying I agreed with changing & ditching Fable just that im more of a Bethesda fan & prefer their games but I always have & they are probably my favourite company (plus he was mostly joking).

I admit their games have had more play time from me over the years than any other developers so its only natural. I like Lionheads vision but ultimately ive played their games through and then forgotten about them, didnt even bother to finish Fable 3. Whereas I was still playing Oblivion years after its release and finding new things and ive played Skyrim for 125 hours+ so far and no end in sight. Thats more hours in one game than I put into all 3 Fables put together.

Id say threads for the Bethesda games would be enough because when we start adding sections for games where does it stop? Wouldnt be long before people were requesting sections for their favourite games & I hate clutter. Im sure the Fable series will continue in the manner you are accustomed to and everything will be fine in the end so its here to stay and we wont ditch it and become another fansite of many for another game series so dont worry.

IN OTHER NEWS

"Yes!" seems to be winning by a landslide. :troll:

A subsection to the gaming forum I could see, but we wouldn't want all the fans of the newest Fable looking for fansites and skipping this place because we lack conviction.

Besides, I don't want people signing up for ES and being all like "GTFO old ppl cuz Skyrim is better gaem lolololol Fable suxx." For some reason, Fable has attracted a pretty mature audience here. Adding a much more mainstream title alongside Fable is essentially opening the obnoxious idiot floodgates.
