GTA IV Gets Green Light By BBFC

Fear not it has been given the go ahead for release so doesnt face the hassle that Manhunt 2 did on release.

You can steal cars, punch old people and shoot police in GTA IV, but don't worry lads - the game we're all waiting for had been given the green light.

In the wake of the recent ratings-focused Byron report, as well as the Manhunt 2 banning debacle last year, the more paranoid of you may have been worried about GTA IV getting through the ratings boards.

But the BBFC, who effectively banned Rockstar's Manhunt 2, has slapped an 18 certificate on the urban free roamer and signalled the green light for it's release, confirms MCV.

We'd love to see what gaming fuddy-duddy Anne Diamond would have to say about it...

That's good to hear! I'm actually kinda pleased that GTA4 opted for a less violent approach than Manhunt 2 - some of the stuff I've seen happen in that give me the chills.
