Guild Seal

Do you think they should include the guild seal in Fable 2.

Re: Guild Seal

Maybe. It got a little annoying after a while with the Guildmaster saying "Ah, there is an important quest card at the Guild for you." I just wanted to explore for a little bit and then I would hear him again through my Guild Seal. I'm sure there will be one, but I hope it's not overly annoying.

Re: Guild Seal

Well there better be a way of teleporting, or it will get so boring everyone would quit.

They might come up with another way to teleport instead of using your Guild Seal, but I doubt it and yeah it would be boring if you couldn't teleport.

Re: Guild Seal

I actually Walked around the world unless Teleportation was the only means of getting somewhere. As for the guild Master i turned him off in the menu.

Re: Guild Seal

But Teleporting is so much easier ^_^

Re: Guild Seal

I think they should minimise its use as it took away the temptation to explore anywhere as you could just teleport from one spot to another. All they would need are some modes of transport that arent your own feet instead and tempt people into having a look around and exploring.

Re: Guild Seal

I'd like a carriage service, like a Taxi!

Re: Guild Seal

I think that since Fable will be so much bigger than it was before, that teleporting might be needed.

I think I get what you mean buy limiting the use. sort of like being able to teleport to different regions but not city to city. SMOOTH MOVE DRAKAN:cool:

Re: Guild Seal

Let's just hope they don't add any flying or levitating abilities and just stick to teleportation.

Re: Guild Seal

The travel system of Morrowind was perfect - one of the best I've seen in any game. It just... fit right in. With the world, with the characters with... Morrowind!

So something like that. In port towns you could take ships to other port towns. For land travel perhaps you could hire one of those.. what are they called.. like a little wagon behind alot of horses, with a guy sitting outside, on top.

The teleport in Fable was too Startreky, for a medival fantasy game like Fable. I actually said "Beam me up!" out loud and then giggled like a school girl quite a few times.

If there was some higher level magic spell to allow you to transport between towns - I'm all for that. But I don't like the idea of your average run-of-the-mill Hero could "beam around" like that.

Yeah i know exactly what you mean and i think it was a really lazy idea overall as they could have made such an improved system than the Hero can just 'Teleport' one.

That's what I said, a taxi system. Like in Maplestory.

Re: Guild Seal

here's how the guild seal should be: When you recieve a quest, the guildmaster will go,"So and so in so and so is having trouble with this and that" other than,"looks like a new quest!"

Or, when your seal glows, you will have to activate the seal and then, you'll get a pop-up message of the quest. Maybe even a video of what's happening. Say you need to catch a potato thief, the video will show the thief running away..etc etc (to get you interested, rather than bored)

Re: Guild Seal

Nice idea! And in the video it shows the Hero starting to run after the thief and then it switches to gameplay!;)

I like the idea of seeing a video to get more interested and enthusiastic about the quest.

I hope that you get to choose some of the quests on your own, instead of automatically being hooked to them, like a couple times in Fable.
