Guilds?

Guilds?

We've seen the Heroes Guild, The Society, Temple of Shadows, Temple of Light, Chapel of Skorm, Temple of Avo.

Well, all of these are like 'Guilds', or 'factions'. Wouldn't it be nice to actually join them?

Like, a Warriors, Mage, and a Thief Guild you can join, each with side missions. A Darkness, and a Holy faction you can join and do quests for each.

I agree. Like there wasnt any missions for those groups we join except defender of light and oakfield massacre. And I always wanted to join with the bandits and have it so they dont try to kill me...

Ok there is:

1 Guild (And should only be one): Heroes Guild
The rest are cults, churches or religions

If there was to be any more guilds i would be disappointed since nowadays many games have to have a lot of guilds.

Also on a side note Temple of Shadows is likely to be the continuation Chapel of Skorm. Whilst the Temple of Light is likely to be toe continuation of Temple of Avo

I never played Oblivion.

I started on Morrowind, got to confused, and never even passed the character creation thingy.

TES sucks. I was inspired by the common base classes: Warrior, Rogue, or Mage.

but aren't you, and Garth like the only people with hero blood who can use will?
i can see a warriors or a thief guild, but definitely not a mages

I would hate that, honestly they need to just concentrate with Fable III the expansion of the Heroes Guild (Which would have aspects of being a mage, thief and warrior.)

Millions of guilds should just be in Oblivion

Oblivion was extremely intuitive in how they set out the guild quests - the Dark Brotherhood was the best questline I've ever played EVER. The Thieves Guild questline was quite fun, and the Mage's and Fighters Guilds, although nothing spectacular, were still very good additions.

Personally I think it would hard to pull off the same level of originality in Fable 3 - The Society remember is just an organisation that recieves contracts, nothing nearly as interesting as the Dark Brotherhood.

Well it's almost impossible to expand the Heroes Guild because almost all of the heroes died in the first Fable after it became all corrupt and basically mercenaries and everyone was all like, "REVOOOOOOOOOOOLT'd!"

yeah, guilds are dead now, especially with the new age era, the concept of guilds is gone.

although, i wouldn't mind seeing some mmo feature of guilds, since technically there will be hundreds of heroes online a mmo hero guild could be cool, such as fighting arena's, trading stalls, ect.

I could always just go play Oblivion.

Guilds, in that sense, wouldn't suit Fable too well, I don't think.

I think Guilds have been used far too much in the Fantasy/RPG genre. I like the fact that the Fable franchise steers clear of that (for the most part). I also liked the Chapel of Skorm, and the Temple of Avo.

So in short, guilds are a bad idea.

I miss the chapel of skorm the shadow temple sucked. They made it all jokey. When I play as a bad guy I want my place me sacrifice to be evil, not camp! So no more guilds (1 is enough) but proper evil please
