Halo 3 Almost Complete

It seems that production of Bungies record breaking title Halo 3 is beginning to wind down now and the game is 99.9% complete. There are also 3 new screenshots available to further tease all the people who are waiting for it. The 3rd screenshot is of Tsavo Highway:

Beginning in a subterranean labyrinth somewhere in Africa, the Master Chief and a squad of marines need to rendezvous at the semi-nearby city of Voi. Just how long that trip will take depends on if you're going to cross this sun-scorched African savannah, dotted with massive remains of the destroyed space elevator, Covenant outposts and Covenant checkpoints is up to you - you can go by foot, or perhaps more appropriately by Warthog.

The other is of 'Narrows':

Takes place on a large, chilly Forerunner bridge. While symmetrical in nature, that symmetry is slightly interrupted by varied power-ups on either side of the map. A Rocket Launcher rests atop the central bridge, while a Shotgun sits below it on the low bridge.

Battle Rifles and an assortment of dual wieldables decorate the bases at either end of the bridge. For fast travel from base to base there are Man Cannons that allow for in-air collision and general hilarity if two people take flight at the same time.

Yeah very true, but Bioshock was only went gold about 2 weeks before release. Halo 3 has another 36 days (here) until its released so time to add the last layer of polish and tweak final things still.

man...I NEED a 360, but im saving up for myself. and i only have 110 bucks and i HAD 150...damn...ill never get one at this rate..

I preordered myself the special edition copy, i dont want legendary really as i dont have much space for helmet in here and isnt really worth the pricetag.

Awesome! The extra screenshots and new info almost make the wait bearable. Maybe it's just me, but the wait actually didn't seem that long. Anyone know how long was it in the making?

Its been in the making for roughly 2 years, they started work on it straight after Halo 2's ending apparently.
