Halo 3 Animated Series On Way?

With the recent talk of a movie being worked on by the highly acclaimed director and producer Peter Jackson it seems more rumours and speculation are surfacing. This time its not about the movie but infact an animated series about the Master Chief and the Halo universe. It was originally posted by Gamespy who have now pulled the article saying that it was nothing more than a "transcription error" and they meant to say an "Interactive Series" but who knows what the truth is right now.

Depends as animated series these days arent like Pinky in fairyland, as long as it remained adult themed i think it could work really well.

hmmmm acually i think i would work pretty well.....depends on wat they mean by animated...animated as in anime or animated as in Halo3 cutscene style...thad be sweet......

Halo as an animated series? AWESOME! This could be great, just like the Clone Wars animated series.

Didn't the movie get cancelled because of financial difficulties or something?

I have a good feeling that the movie won't be animated, but a series would be very cool. I had a dream yesterday, that the Halo Movie was live action, and the affects were wicked (what else do you expect, weta (not a spelling error) and peter jackson have the best special effects team in the universe).

A group of shadows emerge from the darkness of a chrashed covenant ship. Inthe background, banshees and pelicans are bawling it out, some exploding inthemidst of the reveal. Scars and burn marks leave their mark on the sandy ground, steam rises up from the wreckage. Ash and sparks spread throught the crash sites. The shadows emerge, and project blue beams of light form their hands. They are elites, equiped with energy swords. They sniff the area, the cold breath from their mouths jet out every time they take a deep breath.

Most grin, feeling as if they have won the battle. Suddenly, two armored boots pound the ground. It's Master Chief, holding a shotgun in his hand, and a machine gun on his back. The battle begins, and an energy sword fromthe elite clashed with master chief's hand. Sparks from the chiefs gloves appear, chips from the armor break off. The spartan cocks his shotgun with one hand, and blows the elite into bits to end the clash.

Seeing that in a live action movie,AND an animated series would be killer.

So yea, that's my opinion :cool:

With Halo 2 looking absolutely awesome for a 2004 game, it's only natural that anything else involving it is just the same. A high-budget Halo Movie would kick major... butt...

The Clone Wars animated series was really awesome. If the halo animated series is that, and more, then it'll be all us Halo fans can ever hope for.

Yes, I'm a nerd >_<" But that's neither here nor there: Scroll down until you find the tiny update. Here's the quote itself. Of course, "Word On The Street" isn't exactly a final say, but supposedly they meant to say "Interacting" not "Animated" >_<"

Word on the street is that there is NO Halo animated project being made with Peter Jackson. Despite earlier reports to the contrary. Sometimes cool news is just too good to be true!

In my article i had said they have tried to backtrack on the first claim and they said they had made an error and they infact meant an "interactive" series. Have to wait and see if they are just attempting a coverup.

Think about it this way:

Pirates Of The Carribean was supposed to be only one film. The producer and the directorintended it to have an enclosed ending so they couldn't make more. Why? They thought it wouldn't be successfull. But what happened?

They made two more movies.

There's always hope when it comes to film, mate :lol:

Think we may need to wait on conformation of this one, and see exactly what they are cooking up. I will report on anything i hear, rumour or not ^_^
