Halo 3 melee fix this week
Halo 3 online fans rejoice, the melee attack fix is on the way. Especially those UK players with the much slower Internet speeds than people over seas. Just wish more games would patch up to fix these issues and compensate for our crappy speeds. What would be even better is if the Internet Companies upped their speeds and the Cable companies fitted better cables.

Most of you may never have realised, but more obsessed Halo goers, like CVG Gav, have noticed a distinct advantage that server hosts, usually American-based, have in melee bouts.
Basically, when you both appear to melee at the same time, the hosting player, or the one with the better connection, always comes out on top.
This is a particular problem when UK players go against Americans, in some case you clearly hit out first, only to be killed (and subsequently corpse humped) by your lucky US opponent, who thinks he's better.
Bungie itself admitted: "there are issues with several granular melee features - simultaneous strikes, shield depletion and so on."
It has been working to iron out these issues with the help of US Major League Gaming ninjas over the past few weeks, and says in its latest weekly update (via Official Xbox 360 Magazine) that the update is "on track" for this week.
We've named it the "Americans don't automatically win" patch.
