The Legendary Edition ($129.99) will come out in limited supplies, being wrapped up in a highly collectible Spartan helmet case that no hardcore “Halo” fan should miss, along with two bonus disks full of supplemental content. The first disk will provide exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage and videos, including a high-definition “Making of ‘Halo 3’” documentary showcasing the Bungie team and its effort to create the most anticipated title in the industry’s history; numerous high-definition featurettes documenting the creative design processes involved in developing the game; and even a look at some early game concepts and their evolution through the game’s development. Im not a big enough of a fan to buy anything past the standard. One of the only reasons Im getting it anyway is because thats going to be all people play once it comes out. I love the game but Im not looking foward to being called a noob every ten seconds.

I'm with you but the behind the scenes for an extra 10 sounds like a good deal no way I'm spending an extra 70 for a helmet

I, for one, have every intention of getting the Legendary Edition for myself, however that may not even be possible...

You’d probably be very surprised to hear how many Bungie staffers have actually pre-ordered it from regular retail outlets. The Legendary edition is limited enough (and individually numbered, no less) that we’re simply not guaranteed to get one. Yikes.

I admire the fandom of the desire to get the Legendary edition thinking about the collector side of things that's the way to go UM preorder now and in multiple places

I wonder what it will go for on ebay if supplies really are limited

I voted for Legendary because im a big halo fan... but they will obviously be sold out so If that was the case, I would go for Limited. But LEGENDARY ALL THE WAY! w00t.

And I was raised with a very strong sense of what is worth spending money on and what isn't. $130 for a game isn't.
