Halo 4 surfaces...

Microsoft have released their entire E3 2011 list of announcements online and it contains a screenshot from Halo 4 amongst many other new announcements. They only included a thumbnail screenshot though to tease people no doubt...​

Thats not all either as Xbox.com earlier listed that Halo 4 wasnt the only thing on the way in the Halo Universe. The game that has been rumoured for months is on the way too Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition...​

When i saw it on the E3 site I was like : YEAH!!! OMFG!! I can't wait!

And he said in the beginning of the vid : The dawn of a new trilogy!

halo 4..? they are definitely could of come up with a better name than that. if this is going to be a trilogy then that means a halo 5 and halo 6 will be coming out in the future...

Think they went with Halo 4 merely because ODST and Reach went backwards in the timescale and they want people to know that it is definitely taking place AFTER Halo 3.

Not finished for good (hence the ending of Halo 3 leaving things open) but Bungies current involvement finished with it as was said above me.
