From Marvel Comics, the first of a five-issue mini-series called Halo: Helljumper will be our first look at the ODST troops playable this fall in Halo 3: ODST. The official blurb from Marvel:

From DC Comics' imprint Wildstorm, the ninth issue of an ongoing Gears of War series is the beginning of a new arc, sending Delta and Sigma squads to the city of Jilane where they meet up with one of the few female Gears in the COG, a scout name Alex. The official blurb from DC:

"Following a distress signal from the overrun city of Jilane, Delta Squad is dispatched to investigate with the help of a unique "scout" named Alex. The team, with the help of Sigma Squad, will explore one of the darker elements of the Gears universe, and to tell this unique and harrowing tale, series writer Joshua Ortega will be joined by Epic Games president Mike Capps! Liking the switch from "big armoured dude on bull hormones" to "lightly armoured chick with big boobs and skintight clothing" when it comes to GoW.

They should have gone a Sisters of Battle route instead of an MMO-ish skimpy armor route.

While Halo looks just normal.

Doesn't fit GoW style. Most of the characters only wear partial armour, like big and bulk chestpieces. They don't wear bodysuits á la Warhammer 40k.

It would still be better to see them placing females in real armor however.
Save skimpy for when it's time to look at something, would you really wear tights into a fight?

But I guess Gears of War is just following it's predictable fratboy fanbase who drool over even a little skin.

Actually, I'd say the woman in the last cover looks very much like a female Fenix. He wear skintight leather pants too, y'know.

Could be leather, I won't argue that one bit, but it was also coated in armor, as were his arms.

Look at the sides of his thighs.
Pointing out 'over sized boots' also, her's are much smaller, nothing protecting near the knees or anywhere higher.

i love how marvel does halo comic and dc does gears of war lol, thts how you know the 4 comapnies hate each others guts.. anyway might buy the gears one just cause theres a girl on the front and delta squad is in it.. and maybe the halo one if i can be bothered

She's a SCOUT, the armor would slow her down, she needs to move fast, tights seems perfect for that
