I am wondering if the Halo movie is still in production or not if anyone has any info about the halo movie please post them

Someone from Bungie said it was cancelled. Then a journal from an Australian hospital said:
*name* Has broken several ribs from chrashing with a 'warthog' during a movie scene.

Just a rumor. And Peter Jackson works on a halo-game a read on kotaku the other day... so I would say it got cancelled.

The Halo movie has been cancelled? Dangit! I could've sworn that Bungie said something positive about it in one of their recent weekly updates. Oh, well.

Maybe it's just me, but I think it's for the best. I just like to remember Halo as it is in the games, not as in a big Hollywood production or something.

Games should stay games and not let Hollywood come in and cash in on their popularity with mostly awful movies.

My point exactly. Things you can play are not always things you can watch... Take for example, if they made a Tetris: The Movie. Yeah, pretty weird.

I understand the fact that certain games have excellent storylines that in theory might make good movies. However what makes these stories so excellent is the players interaction into the stories and sitting watching something unfold just isnt the same.

they would do it jsut to make money.
do you know how many people would go see it because they are avid halo gamers?
millions! its the most popular xbox game by far.
then there is the crowd that would go see it just by seeing the trailers.
i could still see them doing it for the money purpose.
but to the actual gamers who know every aspect and storyline of the game and even the books (haha yeah im a dork and read the books too) it would be a fluke because they would leave stuff out yadda yadda yadda. lol.

You're right, you know. The die-hard game fans will ***** and moan about the film (but still watch it, you'll notice ) and everyone else will just flock to see it purely because it's another installment of the Halo franchise.

Like with the Star Wars movies - 4, 5 and 6 were awesome. 1, 2 and 3 were undeniably craptastic and a real disappointment to quite a lot of fans. But it smashed its way through the box office all the same because of the existing legacy...

exactly. and, as well, people who go and see the movies not knowing anything about halo and believe that the movie is pure genius will then, in effect, help bungie as halo sales rise. its all a cycle, really.
but we are all so pessimistic here! tsk tsk!
perhaps if they made a movie the film would be good! haha
