Having troubles joining friend for co-op.

Hey everyone,

My friend rented Fable III and I have the collectors edition. It says I can't join him because we don't have DLC that the other person has.... Does this mean I can only play with other people who bought the Collectors edition? Or is there something I'm missing? I try to join him and it says it, and vice versa. It's really frustrating. Any suggestions on how to work around this?

If this is how they have it set up, that's extremely lame.
