No, Its a high deff picture up to 1080P
If you have a High deff TV then you want a High deff source.

Good to hear that the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player is receiving a price drop! Hopefully, eventually, UK HD-DVD players will undergo a price drop, too. I would love to be able to buy one but at around £129.99 a pop, I'm not really in any hurry. Plus the fact that Blu-Ray seems to have the lead over the HD-DVD format only deters me even more.

What good is 1080P? None to me. I can't tell the difference between DVD and vhs. I made the switch between those two because dvds are smaller. They dont ware out. The generally have special features. They sell them everywhere. And also the chaptering system.
Plus who really enjoys rewindin tapes?

Amazingly different on a 32 inch HD TV than an old standard one thats for sure.
