My Fable used to work just dandy on this computer and then I uninstalled it cuz i stopped playing it. now i want to play it again so i reinstalled it and i started a new game but the screen is just black after the first fresco scene i can hear everything but i can't see crap. I am wondering if any of you know what is wrong.:'''''(

Well I feel bad since fable is such a good game.
did you mod fable before?
maybe unistall and reinstall it
look up somewhere all the files that should be in the folder and look in program file>microsoft games>fable>data
now there should be
CompiledDefs>Frontend.Bin, Game.Bin, Names.Bin, Script.Bin
graphics>graphic.Big, pc> frontend.big, textures.Big
misc>game_animation_events.bin, sound_animation_events.bin , star_chart, stars.dat

i didn't have the courage to put them all on but check already to see if you have those. If your missing it try to find the file somewhere on internet or unistall the game or(if your lazy) buy a new one.
i don't know if you solved your problem before this but here it is

Said this a couple of times now but when you uninstall something make sure you clear everything from the registry to do with the game too. As it can cause issues when you try re-installing something afterwards.

i did all that maybe something happened to my graphics card.... But morrowind works fine.

try uninstalling everything agian. and make sure everything is compleatly gone. back up files and all that jazz.

but befor you do that iv heard that it might work just fine if you just skip the scene. so try that first.

hmmm, i should go back to playing fable on my computer, modding is so much fun!

Does your game 'refresh' if you have modded it if you uninstall and reinstall it?

no... but it was the first thing i installed when i got this computer and it worked perfectly.

in the beginning of the game the cut scene when the heros dad wakes him up
