HELP! GAME MESSED UP

Hey everyone i have a problem with this game I am in bloodstone and trying to do the T.O.B.Y. quest but it wont even give me the option to search the cabinet in the house also i can not pull out my sword, gun, or use magic or even leave the stupid town it says i need to finish this scene i've tryed calling xbox but they were no help at all, i cleaned disk, i traded out disk, i restarted xbox but nothing is working please help!

There is one cabinet I had a hard time getting to let me access it. I just had to play around, move away and come back. However they did mention that the TOBY quest is being addressed in the upcoming patch. This might be why.
