Help with sunset house.

I cant get passed the mirror. I did the floating skull/flit switch puzzle thing but it still wont let me go through the mirror.My dog can go through the mirror but, i cant. Any one who has had a similar problem and/or knows a remedy to this situation your input would be most appreciated.
