Help with will abilities

Is it just me or is it really hard to use multiple will abilities in the same fight, due to the fact that you can't switch between them fast enough? Is there something I'm not understanding or is that just the way it is?

if u want to change ur spells out pause the game and change it under abillities

The game is designed in a way that you can use up to 5 different spells but all 5 spells at different power level. If you want to use more than 5 different spells in 1 combat or 2 spells at the same power level, then you'll have to change the spells at the pause menu. Either that or you change it by holding your RT and using the D-pad. I rather not do that cos the monsters will keep wacking you.

Anyway, just to recommend my preference, i use the following:

level 1 and 2: Time control - for quick freeze of time to plan for other spells.
level 3: Shock - to take out weaker opponents
level 4: Time control - to allow myself time for my level 5 spell
level 5: Force push - I like this spell for the wide area effect. Kill most enemies.
