Help with XBL

I buy the thing today i registered my account so now its a gold but when i connect my internet cord than when it is doing the system check thing for XBL than it fails on the IP thing. What can i do? I called the XBL phone thing and i emailed them but im not sure what can i do cause the email will take a while

Well, what I do is take my cord that came with my xbox stick one into my xbox 360, one into my wireless router motom and it works fine.

Also post problems like these under Fable II help next time please

Well see i just take the cord from my Computer and put it in my 360

just use ure ethernet cord you got with ure 360...

every xbox 360 unit came with the ethernet cord.. you probally lost ures
