Hexagon key from Grandmother?

Hexagon key from Grandmother?

What is that Hexagon thing that looks like a key of some sort that given by the Grandmother who requests you to save her grandson from the Hobbe Caves?:unsure:

It's for the door, if you look at one of them when going through the caves one of them has a hexagone shapped lock. I can take a screenshot if you like.

Weird thing is I got into the room before I took the quest card. It's not until afterwords that its locked. Perhaps because the boy took the key. The nymph must have another way of unlocking the door. I wonder if I went there and warped to the guild to get the quest card if I could warp back. That would be a bit of a glitch.
