Housing: Has This Been Discussed?

Fable II offered the option to commission statues of yourself at certain regions of Albion.

My question is: Have the developers of the Fable series given thought to the concept of the player being able to purchase land, and commission a house to be built on that land?

There are many possibilities with this idea.

There could be several different styles, as well as different building materials.

I think this has great potential, but, like many other ideas, it is often overlooked. What do you all think?

it has been said that you can pretty much customize anything INSIDE a house walls,floor,roof you name it... but not make your own house.. this isn't the sims after all

I could see that happening in Fable 4.

But not 3.

It's basically happening in Fable 3. The only thing you can't do is build the structure itself
You can change the wallpaper, any of the furniture can be switched with other furniture of any type, etc.
