How much are gas prices where you live.

I don't drive so I don't care...but it's something stupid nonetheless. I remember when it used to be less than 45p per litre (yes, it was the 80's) and you could fill your tank up for less than £20. Now it costs about three times that amount...but I walk everywhere or use public transport so it's not really my problem.

We do things in litres and its around £1.38 a litre currently. Apparently its 3.79 litres in 1 gallon so we would pay around £5.23 a gallon which on todays exchange rate would be $8.34 a gallon. So id love ours to be anywhere close to $1.09 a gallon.

As pointless as it may seem to you, i find it rather amusing to see how much inflation there is not only by time but also by where you live. The point is to try and feel better knowing that someone else is getting pinched harder than you are and we could see that if everyone posted their gas prices here. I always like it when people post on my forums because i encourage people to voice their opinions. Thank you:)

Huh?

Not sure how I can feel better knowing my friends here are suffering at such high prices.

Check this out, pretty neat:

I'm in a dark orange area...$3.78 per gallon is the average around here.

I started driving at <$1.50 a gallon, and that was only 9 years ago. Hell, it was hovering under $2 still only 4 years ago. I've seen it topping out at $4.69 in my area, that was earlier this year.

Basically, the gas companies, each and every one, are rich, greedy ********* that **** our *****, *******, and rule the world.

@Angel: I wish we could get away with not needing to drive places, instead having transportation provided for us (and/or only work within walking/biking distance), but alas, tis not to be. A 20 mile/32km walk/bike along roads where people usually drive in excess of 60mph/96.5kph just does not justify the trebled commute time and other associated dangers.

Too bad there are no such things as trains or busses. We could invent something that would take a lot of people at once to another location, both reducing Global Warming and the people can keep theirm ind on other things! And we'll call it 'Public Transportation'.

Out here in Nevada it peaked at 4.05$ about two months ago, since then it's gone down to 3.75 and settled at 3.55 currentley. Everyone is happy about it but two years when I started caring about the prices it was around 2.50$ so I say this sucks!

My car gets incredible mileage though so it's never been a problem for me. I can drive to Reno and back, 60 miles in all and only use up a quarter of the tank.

Too bad neither train nor bus goes to my place of employment. Heck, the nearest train station is 20 miles in the other direction...and it only goes to Chicago. Around here, buses only service a single town or go to Chicago. The system is great if you live and work in one major city, but beyond that, not at all.

Remember, America is big. Your entire country comes to ~41,848 square kilometers. Just the state I live in is ~93,210 square km. It's all spread out by a big, big margin. Public transportation is just not plausible (and/or hasn't been given enough attention) here, outside of the major cities.

It's anywhere from $1.20 to $1.40 per litre of unleaded here.

This thread seems a little pointless.

Just sayin'.

EDIT: And the creator of the thread likes this comment? ._.

Pointless for you, maybe, because you're a small child. You care not for money and other such adult concerns.
