They arent an emo band thats the problem, Fall Out Boy, Panic At The Disco and My Chemical Romance should be kept far seperate from bands like Disturbed. :O

Emo's a blanket term nowish. Really.. there needs to be some distinction between someone who is genuinely and beautifully pouring out emotions into songs, and someone who sells sadness. Also a requirement of the singer to have at least lived long enough to have a proper standard to judge their relative suffering against. Seriously, these teeny bands *****ing about their girlfriends.

uummmmm if i may say emo is no longer a way it is a fashion.......In todays society that is....... Im so not emo but I do have weird clothing choices such as they do my hair a little too.......BUT IM NOT FREAKIN EMO !! MY FRIEND TURNED EMO AND HASNT COME BACK!! People might look at some of my clothes and say 'Emo' however my personality is not that of an Emo or my taste in music. However many groups are all tarred with the same brush these days.

Have black hair, black clothes and listen to anything remotely "dark" and "sad" and you're emo, and it seems and fair game for everyone jumping on the bandwagon and screaming "EMO!".
