How to Fish

Fishing in the game is as boring as fishing in real life. Reel-in, reel-in, reel-in...got away. I have fished 40 times and never caught anything. So what is the technique? I've pushed 'reel-in' a lot, I've pushed 'reel-in' once and just about everything in between. So what should I do to actually catch something?:(

Re: How to Fish

uhhh.....
when it says "reel in" hit the A button (xbox) to reall in, when you hear the buzzing sound, stop hitting it, then when the sound stops, start again. repeat untill you got it

Yeah this is correct as the buzzing on the controller is a sign of line tension and it might break so have to stop reeling in until it stops.

Re: How to Fish

Also, if you're playing the XBox version, you have to look at the upper right-hand corner of the TV screen for the colored bar with a picture of a fish at one end. You want to be repeatedly pushing the "Reel-In" button while the bar is green. When the bar starts to change color, you need to stop pushing the button. If the bar turns red, that's a sign that the line is about to snap. When the bar turns green again, start pushing the button again. Repeat these steps as indicated and eventually you'll pull in something from the water.

Re: How to Fish

I found that if you have the rod of champions you can still sometimes reel in when it's making the buzzing sound, just as long as it's not a big fish.

Re: How to Fish

I wish you could know whether what you're trying to reel in is important or not... sometimes it just reels straight in easy as you please, but then other times it'll go red, then green, then red, then green, and you can spend like 5 minutes reeling this stupid thing in and when you finally get it... it's just a worthless fish:(

Re: How to Fish

A special rod you can win by entering your biggest catch in the fishing contest.

moonfish are not worthless, even if they weigh..hardly anything,

Re: How to Fish

Oh! I just got the fishing contest today! I wasn't paying attention to the cutscene so I don't know how to enter. I have the golden fish though.

Moonfish are useless(almost)! Yay golden carrots!

Re: How to Fish

Not quite right. Despite their pathetic appearance, Moonfish is one of the greatest tool of evil any villian in Fable can aquire.

Re: How to Fish

Well I'm a good guy that kills a lot of innocent people. I just kill more bandits than traders.

Re: How to Fish

Moonfish are a great boon when its 12pm and you are waiting to sacrifice people at the chapel of Skorm!

They also weigh quite a bit sometimes. In the Lost Bay, you can catch moonfish in excess of 38k grams.

Re: How to Fish

there are some BIG A** moon fish in this game.

Re: How to Fish

I use my moonfish to steal stuff.....can't be bothered to wait until nightfall. Although I totally misread what they were for when I first caught one and used it thinking it would make everything brighter so I could see the enemy better. Kinda obvious what happened to me next.... :(
