How to make signatures (Basic)

This is only a basic tutorial. I'll be using an image and editing it. This is something simple to do and it's not how to make ripples and cool background effects.

Step One:
Take a cool image from Google. It's best to search for a wallpaper. Similar to this one.

Step Two:
You're going to need a software called Paint.NET - It's basic and very easy to use. You can get it here.

Step Three:
You're going to need a very handy expansion pack to paint.NET. Doesn't kill your memory and it's pretty awesome. Get it here. - Make sure you copy and paste the files into the paint.NET folder. If you have any problems ask this guy.

Step Four:
Open your desired image in Paint.NET. If done correctly, it'll look very similar to Fireworks or Photoshop.

Step Five:
At the top where it has File, Edit etc. Look for "Adjustments" and "Effects". These are your best friends in paint.NET.

Step Six:
Open Adjustments. Using "Curves" and "Gradient Mapping" are the best and easiest things to use to get things done quickly.

Step Seven:
After playing around with Curves and Gradient Mapping, you'll get effects like this:

Using "Glow" and "Soften Portrait" are very helpful. Also, in "Artistic" after downloading the pack, "Splatter" is what I use to create the Graffiti Effect of the lines going across on the Curves Image.

I might make a more advanced one, showing you how to make ripples and BG effects but for beginners, this is a lot easier to start with.

and making animations and such i used it on my 3 first days of knowing a had photoshop and used the guides on there they are helpful

I'm honestly not sure. I usually use it for Bebo Skins and the max KB is 40. I just slightly lower the quality from 100% to around 90%. Unless you have Red or Green in there, it usually doesn't look any different. Save it as JPEG.

i found out i just needed to change the quality to maximum since i used jpeg before but thanks for telling me :thumbsup:

Hey dude how do you get the actual picture onto the Paint.net?
Do you paste it or what?
:Edit:Never mind I found out how.Lol!
I'm missing the Gradient Mapping,how can I get it?
I still need to know ALOT of things,but what I want to know NOW is how do I get my new Paint.net sig as my sig?I tried copying it and when I go to paste it it doesn't come out,because the paste key is locked there.
