Do you mean an avatar? Go on something like photobucket and search for a picture then copy and paste the DIRECT link into the box in the change avatar page which is in the control panel. If you have a picture saved, click on browse and find it. Same with profile picture.

just press options on the top of the forum, now on your left side there is a easy panel thing and under settings & options there is edit avatar. Then put the image on a hosting site (ex: photobucket:http://photobucket.com/)
now upload your image then when it's done there are 3 different type of addresses direct link is the correct one and copy & paste in the edit avatar, or just click browse and get the image on your computer, but it has to be 80x80 and 19.6 kb

I'm pretty sure it will automatically crop it. I think that's what it's doing to mine.... Maybe. Could be wrong.

yeah it might but the file size would still have to be in possible image space
