I can't dig, help please!

Ok so I just got Fable two days ago and apparently somewhere between last night and today I lost the ability to dig with my shovel. Whenever my dog finds a dig spot and I stand on it it no longer gives me the option to hit the down arrow to dig. I didn't think anything of it and just continued doing the quests but now I just killed the Troll and have to did of Lucien's notebook or whatever and I don't have any way to dig. Is there some way I could like buy a new shovel or something? Or maybe I'm just retarded and am missing something really obvious. Either way, any help is appreciated.

I have the exact same problem only I fist noticed it when I couldnt dig up a treasure during "The Treasure of Doom" quest. I thought it was just for that quest until I tried the "love hurts" quest and it wouldnt let me dig up the bones. I have looked all over the place in an effort to buy a shovel and I can't find one. I have a bad feeling that this is a huge glitch. This would really suck! Somebody please help if you have the answer. I can't freaking dig!

Hey guys i have found out the solution, what you guys might have done is accidently have sold your spade (shuvel) like what i did lol, to buy another one go to old bowerstone and go to the general good stall and buy the spade and you will have your digging abillties back on track

well all you gotta do is go to bowerstone town square and go to general goods stall and buy a spade
