I dont know what game to get.

so i want you guys to recommend a game to me. i want a singleplayer PC game. i want a shooter or rpg or some other game you want me to try...

Get Bioshock!

It's a single player shooter with tons of RPG-like character customization (what Plasmids(spell like powers) and how to upgrade your guns) as well as probably the best and most well thought out story in any shooter to date. So much so I had to read up on some Ayn Rand and Nietzsche to fully understand it.

Mass Effect has some shooting elements but overall it is an RPG, also highly recommended too. ^_^

A "shooter" for me is, and will always be, a first person shooter.

First Person Shooters are games like Halo, Bioshock, COD 4 (where you are looking out the characters eyes from 1st person perspective) and such. Mass Effect is an action RPG, with 3rd person shooting aspects.

I'm just talking about what I will always refer to as a shooter. It's what I grew up with, like doom and quake. I'm quite well aware of the differences.

Depends on your PC specs.

Graphics card: NVidia geforce 8400 GS.

Not the best graphics card so you might want to look if your PC can handle games like Bioshock or Mass Effect.

thanks for the suggestions! i might buy bioshock to the pc. and to you TRA Rotid i tested on system req lab and i dont meet the recommended settings but i can atleast play them on low settings

The term shooter understandable its when people say 1st Person that i have to say something. :lol:

With FPS games being my speciality genre.

Unless the game is completely unplayable. Getting 10fps on lowest settings is bad, very bad.

Deus Ex 2: Invisible War is quite a nice game (GameSpot score 8.0). I played it a while back, but it was too complicated back then and I`m planning to pick it up again.
I would recommend Deus Ex, but it`s rather old and somewhat awkward in todays standards.

Deus Ex 2: Invisible War is quite a nice game (GameSpot score 8.0). I played it a while back, but it was too complicated back then and I`m planning to pick it up again.

That`s true, but I recently played it and the AI is really, really stupid and it somewhat spoils the fun.

I thought the AI for the first Deus Ex was pretty good for the time, the console version Invisible War was nowhere near as good though. It is 8 years old now so if you played the original recently it wont seem as good by todays standards.
