Can be quite stressful at times and annoying as other motorists can be a pain in the *** but it will be worth it in the end. Im learning myself, got my test coming up soon.

The bit that sucks is that my mums gonna we working until thursday, and she doesn't get home till late. So that means our car will be absent. And my dad doesn't want to have my first lesson at night>.<

We have several cars (though, admittedly, by "several" I mean two that we bought because the other two couldn't make it forty miles without something breaking) and I don't have any issues getting to drive at night... the problem is getting my senile old father to let me drive outside of my neighboorhood, miscellaneous parking lots, and the roads through parks. The #@^#$ won't let me go on anything faster than 25 mph (I'm too lazy to find a converter for that, but it's not fast. It's "we're driving through a little nieghborhood"-speed.

I bow to your apparently superior knowledge. I really should remember those conversions, but I don't. I mean, pretty much everyone but us uses metric and celsisus-- hell, we even use metric and celsius or metric and kelvin in science (well, in all my science classes recently, anyway, and my digital electronics pre-engineering class)-- but I still can't manage to remember any conversions.
As a matter of fact, the only one that sticks is that celsisus+273=Kelvin. Unless, of course, it's not 273 and it's another number.

Well, I'm lucky enough to have been brought up with the metric system
. I only bother remembering the 1.6 ks in a mile because its the only one you need to know if your not a scientist or a business man. And moneys changing all the time.

Yes, I still need to drag around a full driver, and with Maryland's graduated (I cannot spell this word, ever) licence system, even after I get through the learner's to my (provisional) licencse I have a ****load of restrictions. Like I can only drive with family in the car, and only during certain hours and stuff. To make it worse, I could've gotten my licence at 15 and 9 months (April 6, 2006) and yet I didn't get it till I was 17 and three days (July 9, 2007)
Oh, yeah, rub it in AK. Damn adults. I have half a mind to hop on my bike, ride up there, and shoot a supersoaker at you... [grin] Of course, if I tried that, I'd probably get pulled over by the cops for carrying a brightly colored water gun, while the guy with the MP5 and semtex and an ax to grind rolls past in whatever he's driving.
Yeah, maybe I'll remember miles-to-kilometers now... and maybe I'll get the others to stick at some point, but I doubt it.
