I hate to ask...

but my searches are not pulling up the information I am looking for with regards to the time limit in the game.

What I am trying to figure out is, at what point does the clock start ticking? I only just became the Hero of Brightwall and before I continue along with the main quest I wanna know if I should keep doing villager quest, gathering gold, hopping into multiplayer mode, etc.

whenever you leave the throne room after keeping your promises or not the clock stops you can get off the main quest and do all the side missions you want. It is not until you go back into the throne room to make more decisions that the calender year will start up again and will stop when you leave. If I need to get more gold, do unrelated missions to open areas to a legendary weapon or work on maxing out a weapon, I take my time with it so as to really enjoy and explore the game.

Awesome, thanks...there have been a number of complaints from people saying that they didn't get time to finish this quest or get enough gold, etc. and I wanted to avoid having the same problem if at all possible. So basically the longer I avoid getting to the point where I have to make all those final decisions the more I can do. I can work on having that 8.5 million gold (if you are making all the good morality decisions) that I hear everyone talking before giving Logan the boot.
