i need help from 360 owners

as you know i recently purchased an xbox 360 elite console. but, theres one thing i want to know that i havent been able to find in the manual or internet.

can you connect your xbox 360 to LIVE by using the computers internet connection? i know you can do that, but my laptop is connected wirelessly. is it still possible? and if so, how can you do it?

If you are using wireless, you will have to buy a Wireless Network Adapter which costs roughly $90 Canadian. Your best bet is to just set up a wired connection using a modem and ethernet cord for Xbox Live.

There are cheaper options for the wireless bridge that attaches to the back of the 360 console. I bought the official bridge that cost me about £45, apparently i got it for cheap. But there are unofficial wireless bridges that will cost a lot less, my friend got one for about £15, it still works just as good. You can get these most electronic shops n websites. But like Aristodemus said, if you have the Wireless router for your comp near you, then use a wired connection.

i dont have a wireless router. thats my predicament. you see, the wireless router is integrated into my laptop. what i want to know is that if i connect my computer and xbox with an ethernet cable, will i be able to connect to live like that?

Yes you will. It's a hard process. I made it before after "Some" hours (Like 24?) of work.. I finally made it. BUT! When i did close my computer and then started it again. It dident work... I was crying.. My heart was broken.. Then Blue Will did come and save me. (Nooot!)

So my dad bought a wireless adapter. End of the stupid story...

I still say the wired connection is the best bet you have, it costs less, is dependable, and is easy to work with.
