i need help plu i found a cool wep

ok the help part is in the area of editing textures i always get an error message saying textures.big cannot be reads ignore or cancel? what do i do to make it work help please.
the cool wep is a lute a guitar thing

well i was..kinda. i think you need to use a program like photoshop or paintshop pro to retexture them. or are you just talking about opening textures.big and finding the info on the things inside of it?

the texture editor i am using is gimp it was told to me by on the retexturing for dummies thread and i save all the files to the desk op and followed every thing down to the letter but every time i save mods and run fable it gives me an error message and my txtures dont work if i continue
i read that stick i guess i did not look at all the items srry

shouldn't double post but w/e. Are you sure your saving them as the right extension? Sometimes little things like that are hard to notice.

LIKE .BMP AND STUFF I SAVE THEM ALL IN .BMP FORMAT

Hmm... Well I've only dabbled in Fable modding, written a couple of tutorials and such, but post some screenshots of the problem and I'll try my best, (Print screen button, next to F12 to capture screen)

After you hit print screen you need to open PAINT, and Paste the image you got there, then you have to save it, and upload it to an image hosting website like Photobucket.

Yeah you cant link a picture you have saved to you hardrive. It just doesnt work out that well.

Seems like some people need help on screenshotting.

Press print screen (The button next to F12)

Open Paint

Click Edit

Click Paste

Cut out the bit you need, or keep the whole image

Right click on the image

Click Copy to

Save it

Upload to an imagehost, (Imageshack.us is best)

They give you a direct link code, copy that

Go on your post

Click insert image

Delete the http://

Paste in the direct link image code from imageshack

Post it.
