i think i lost the hero's attack style and switched it with lady grey's

i was doing a character swap with lady grey and when started up the game the only attacks she has are kicking and pushing. and i've tried everything. i switched the hero training attack style with the hero but it still kicks and i also switched it back to the hero. please help...

actually, if someone has all the info for the hero so i can copy and paste it over... just the ID's, CDef's and avery thing else including attack style and combat style.The hero mesh and eye mesh just in case. i have the disk but ive only had the game for a week and its really not fun if all you can do is kick you enemy. its not even a good kick its pathetic. and i need help.

Hopefully you made a back-up of your game.bin, if so, just replace it. Copy the backed-up game.bin file then paste it into:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Fable - The Lost Chapters\data\CompiledDefs"

If not, hopefully someone will take the time to look up then post those numbers.

which game.bin files i think i lost every thing that was filled in under hero, unless its somwhere else. how do you back it up, if infact i didnt lose it.

i tried to click export on hero_combat_main and it says it requires a location that is unavailable.

You should have backed up several files before modding anything. Since you didn't, I can not help you much. The game.bin is one file, when you made changes to the hero using FE you changed that file. Hopefully someone like Oldboy or JohnDoe can tell you how to get a new copy of it, either of your discs or whatever. If they do, read this thread carefully before you start modding again, it is a great help.

I guess you mean Combat Type, it looks that way. If that is what you mean, then those are the right numbers. Took me a bit to find those because I haven't done much to the hero. If you need more numbers I will try to give them to you, just be specific about where they are.

this is odd i replaced only the hero mesh the eye mesh both should still be in the graphics folder i never deleted that. ok hero 4299 GOT IT cant find the eyes though the graphics file is a pain to look through. could it be the CAppearranceDef? i might have switched that too but i back that up. if i uninstalled it did it delete it?

The hero eye mesh is 120 if that helps.

Do you mean what are the numbers?
Answer: 1 by default

Or do you mean what does the float scale do?
Answer: make the hero larger or smaller, but it is not simple, you will have to research that to figure out all the other things you need to do to make the float/scale thing work out in-game. Float/scale works easier with weapon size than creature size.

As you can tell by my sig, I'm not where near right now. But oh well, Oldboy's tutorial is really cool.

yeah it's still kicking except i have new problems. these should be easy to fix. i think the new problems DO have to do with the float scale. by the way i just figuered out how to rep+ so yeah.+rep
