im scared. please help!

this has happened to me twice so far. i turn on my 360 (elite) and lights 1,3, and 4 turn red and blink. but then i turn it off and wait a minit and turn it back on and its ok. am i at risk for RROD? if so is there anything i can do befor its to late?

If it does die then just register for repair on Xbox.com or call Microsoft (registering is faster and easier). Then organise collection with UPS and thats all you have to do. I will be back before you know it repaired and free of charge, if its the 3 red lights that cause it.

ya it died. :'( thanx for the tip though DD. i followed your advise. they better have it back to me well befor the 21st or im gonna have to buy the cheap version, play fable 2, and then smash my tv on bill gates's head. :realmad: . i though the elites were not supposed to get RRoD. i am epicly ****ed off at this. :realmad: :realmad: as soon as it gets back im gonna get that cooler thingy for it too. + rep for the help DD (ya like you really need it :lol

Hey it could be worse, like out of warranty, or on the day you get Fable 2. So it could be a lot worse.

actually, it was out of warranty, but they will fix it if its RRoD so thats good. i hope it gets back in time for Fable II. any who has done this have an estimate on how long i can expect to be without my beloved 360? im going nuts just looking at it knowing that it wont work if i turn it on.

ps. you were all supposed to tell me that my 360 is fine and they do that sometimes and make it be ok!

Was your 360 doing anything, before the red rod? I'm so scared mine will break, once I have the game.

nope. it was working just fine and then i turned it off, and when i went to play it again it was dead. it did this to me before but i just turned it off, waited a bit, and turned it back on and it was fine. but this time i wasnt so lucky. seems every 360 owner is doomed to get it eventually.

Yeah, there's been a lot of 360's crashing. It wasn't doing anything? No loud noise, or anything? Mine is horribly loud.

nope. my brother and i were playing not even an hour ago and it was working fine. then we turned it off and a few minits later i went to play it and it was kapoot.

was it in an enclosed space (close to a wall etc.) does it flash all 4 rings when you try to turn it on?

its sort of in a closed space, but only 3 were flashing. why?

well the closed space causes over heating if all four were flashing then it could possibly be a connection problem.
