And my sister rushed off to talk to her boyfriend, who was feeling neglected because she had spent the last four hours playing Fable III with me instead of paying attention to him. Yes, this means that we started playing at 11ish and went until almost 3:40 AM.

So, first: WHAT THE **** THEY STILL COULDN'T GIVE ME A SPLITSCREEN COUCH CO-OP? That being said, it actually seemed more manageable than F2 co-op. And I had fun.

Secondly, WHAT THE **** SERIOUSLY THERE AREN'T ANY AXES WHY DIDN'T I GET THE MEMO?

Item #3, and I admit this is piddly... um... keep in mind that I haven't played any further than recruiting the Dwellers, but was I the only one who completely failed to give a rat's ass about my purty little love interest?

The Bloodstone Bludgeon is the closest thing to an Axe in the game.

Don't worry, Fable III is a **** up in more ways than the two types of weapons to choose from.

Nope, I didn't give a crap about Elliot. I felt 0,0% affection towards him, and 40% disgust. I had him killed.

I find that a bit of a strange reaction to his character. How does he disgust you? Just based off of his in-game persona, he's a pretty nice guy, even though he's just a flip of Elise.

The reason why the love interest has little meaning is because they decided not to put in any characterization for any of the main cast pre-journey. You've only known the character for literally a few minutes, so it's going to be a lot less hard to execute a fictional character that you barely know as opposed to a character you've grown attached to. This was a poor decision on Lionhead's part and I don't understand their lack of foresight on this one, unless it was merely a time management or content issue, perhaps even an issue of space? [I don't know how much of the disc's space the game itself is taking up]

Well, as far as I can recall, he came on to me, way too much for me. Yeah, I know Elliot and the Heroin had spent much time together before the game, but I wasn't there, so I didn't know him at all. It was freaky how he was being so sticky to my girl, like they know eachother a long time, but to me he's a complete stranger! That's how I found it disgusting to see him act like that, but only 40%. :P Not too much...

Oh I see. That's actually an understandable reason then. That relates to the second part of my post - Lionhead made a bad decision in not putting any pre-main quest content to develop the characters more in my opinion.

I agree. Only, I would still have him killed, but I may have cared more. xD In Fable 2, I actually felt a slight shift in emotion when Rose was killed. I never cared for the dog, though, but that must be my problem, seen as everbody else loved it. :P

Shame on you.

Lol, You said 'Heroin' instead of 'Heroine'

(In the way your mistake was weaved into that, you made it sound like Elliot was a drug addict, but because you didn't see any of it, you didn't like him)

[serious]English isn't my native language, so there are some rare mistakes I make. Although I think I'm pretty darn good at it. :P
[/unserious]...But he is a drug addict!

Yes, that was my problem with him. They shoulda started a bit earlier, done some run-around-as-a-kid ****. And then cut down on the preliminary ****tardedness. I mean, hell, it took at least two hours to get to a point where we had all our weaponry and were really ready to go. They even gave us a sword only to take it away.

Small question, if there arent axes are there any other sig. weapons that are missing? sayyyyyyyyy..... Katana's? :)

Nope. Apparently today's gamers like things slimmed down like that, according to Mr. Molyneux.

Yeah, Tsuyu, I thought you were full of **** bitching about how F3 was going to be too un-RPGlike and simplified. Now... yeah, I agree with you a lot more.

Also, I am going to be SO ****ED if in a couple weeks they come out with some DLC and expect me to pay to get me ax.

Full of fecal matter? Moi? Surely thou jest!

Daww...I liked Elliot. He was like a lost puppy.

You get more of their past if you marry him. Apparently, he and your female hero got jiggy with it up in her castle bedroom many times before. Naughty, naughty. ;)

Yeah, same with the male hero and Elise. Too bad there's no way to get Elliot and be male at the same time though, that would've been much better than the male NPC's you can marry.

True. If you wanted a husband, Elliot was like Lady Grey from Fable 2, being a unique character to marry and all. Better looking and sounding to boot too. In both versions, I married Elliot or Elise because they had more interaction and speaking lines to the hero as a spouse than some of the other generic phrases you'd get from random townsfolk. It's a little more personal for your character.

They should've made Elliot and Elise siblings or something and keep them in both versions. That would've solved a lot.

I KNOW!! When I found out about the axe thing, I almost flipped my computer chair in e-rage!
BLARGGGG!!!!

How can they expect me to maintain my superior evilness, without me being able to chop
the pretty little heads off the towns NPCs? :(
