Infinite Money, no glitch, first hour of game
So I see a lot of people talking about making money, and it seems most people missed this fact, so here it is. You can instantly change the discount/selling prices by changing outfits and by purchasing/selling stores. So for those of you wanting to get huge amounts of gold in the very beginning of the game, here's how.
First you'll want to build up enough gold to purchase a the jeweler stall (6-7K) and also enough to buy a diamond (3.5K).
This is much easier to do if you choose to give the warrants to the sheriff in the childhood portion of the game, because you can just buy whatever you want at 50% off in bowerstone old town, I suggest going to the gift stall and getting the valuable gems, then then sell them for full price in bowerstone market, for gifts sell at the jeweler stall.
Regardless if you choose the good path to start, if you walk around finding chests and dig spots in bower lake and then bowerstone market, rent out your starting house or better yet sell it, and blacksmith while waiting for Theresa, even without buying low and selling high with regards to sales and shortages, 10K ,which is what you want total to start, shouldn't be hard to come buy, just don't buy any weapons potions etc. untill you do this.
A shortage or sale at a stone cutter is a great way to make this money too, since there is one in gypsy town and one in bowerstone markert and the stones are valued at a thousand to a few thousand and thus 3K can turn into 10 K quickly if you just make a few trips.
Now you'll want to keep a neutral morality and disposition, because you max sell at 0 multipliers. From what I saw, the sweet spot happens when you sleep at your starting house (animal magnetism) and then take off all your clothes. What you will be doing is buying the jeweler stall for the 6 or 7 K. Then you talk to her (what you're wearing this time doesn't matter) and buy a diamond at 39% off (owner's discount), for 3.5K. Then you sell the shop, getting back maybe minus 100 or 200 gold. Take off your clothes so you have neutral disposition, she should say 0% discounts for all things, and then sell her the diamond back at close to if not at full price (6K). This nets you 2.5K. You can now do this again, forever.
Don't sell to her while you own the store, because the 39% off still applies, but once you do sell the store, you're back to paying full price and SELLING at full price.
To make this more effective, buy multiple diamonds at once, or buy her whole supply out at once. You'll quickly accumlate cash, and one good idea is to get to 20K, then buy out her diamond and ruby (or more if she has them), then go sleep somewhere for a day or 7, whichever. Come back, she's got more supplies, and then you can start buying out 2 diamonds at a time, which gives 5K a shot, and 2 rubies, which is another 3K.
I went the good route so I also had the 50% gift shop available, and I was selling 10 diamonds and 10 rubies at a time. I quickly bought up the real estate in the area and started making money on all those investments, while I went off to adventure. I had well over 1mil gold and every property purchasable in the game at that time well before I got to the crucible. Doing this you can make at a minimum 2.5K in about 3 mins, later you'll make 20, 30 or 40K a shot or more, agian in 3 or 5 mins. Much better than blacksmithing or any other job AND it increases the economy of the town by a lot, so bowerstone market will be at 5 stars in no time.
After this, buy property and buisnesses, and set rents/prices at what your playstyle dictates, you'll easily have more money than you'll ever need.
