I've been asked by a number of people recently about the absence of warnings and infractions when someone is a naughty little bunny (why on earth anyone would care is beyond me, but hey! nice to know the internet police are still out there, backseat moderating for us all).
It comes down to this - XenForo does not have, as yet, the option to infract or profile-warn members for being silly pigeons so all we have now is the almighty banhammer which so far we have not needed when dealing with you lovely lot. Good news from this is you will not have unsightly red or yellow icons showing everyone how badly behaved you are. Bad news is that the only option staff have is a ban, temporary or permanent, if you persist in being obnoxious in whatever manner seems fit to you.
In light of this, threads and posts not befitting the rules will be most likely locked in the first instance with a verbal warning to behave. Any continuation of prohibited behaviour after this instance will be at the sole discretion of the staff member who catches it first - there will not necessarily be the previously-used 3 strike option. I can't speak for other staff members (their accents are hard to pull off, for one thing) but personally if I've asked you to stop something, I expect full compliance without bitching. Failure to do so will result in a temporary ban TO BEGIN WITH. Hopefully that will be all it takes as I don't particularly enjoy perma-banning anyone.
Other staff may have a different approach but the expectation is no different - keep to the RULES and everything will be lovely jubbly. Emphasis on jubblies if that is your thing, obviously.
I'm bored of typing now with half my keys missing thanks to a very naughty toddler so I'm going to go and stalk people on Facebook for a while. Why not try it yourself? It freaks them out no end...
