Installing PC fable...

Okay i went to play it today... idk how it got uninstalled but when i put in the 1st disk that thing comes up i click install and nothing happens... NOTHING...

when I click cntrl alt dlt it says Not Responding now so what happening.

Re: Installing PC fable...

That happen to me too. Just end the task and go to My Computer and double click the drive where you have the first disk. If that doesn't work right click and explore the CD and find setup.exe

On another note you may want to close other apps unless you have a beefy computer

Re: Installing PC fable...

Thanks! Did it work?

Re: Installing PC fable...

yes :)

Now I have a mod problem though... I installed albion exp and the other one but what now?

Re: Installing PC fable...

Have you run freeroam?

Re: Installing PC fable...

I went to it and when I clicked on it it says "Find" "Save "An something else idk"

when i press find it brings me to something u have 2 buy and when i press save... nothin happens really...

Re: Installing PC fable...

that doesn't sound anything like free roam.
Why are people having so many problems with these applications?

This is what free roam looks like: the application
After you rip the FinalAlbion.wad file there should be a folder full of the maps and places of albion called Final Albion. (You can see my folder in the screenshot) Rename the Final Albion.wad to finalalbion2.wad so that the computer uses the folder instead.
After Albion Explorer should work.

Re: Installing PC fable...

Do you have WinRAR?

Re: Installing PC fable...

(I have albion explorer, the other 1, WinRAR, ???)

Ok i downloaded free roam but when i click rip i made a new folder for it and i click on it and i click save it says "Select a file next time"

You need to RIP finalalbion.wad. After you rip the FinalAlbion.wad file there should be a folder full of the maps and places of albion called Final Albion. (You can see my folder in the screenshot) Rename the Final Albion.wad to finalalbion2.wad so that the computer uses the folder instead.

File -->> Open
FinalAlbion.wad
RIP (same folder)
Rename FinalAlbion.wad to FinalAlbion2.wad
you now have free roam

Re: Installing PC fable...

Create a new folder named Finalalbion.wad?

no. The free roam application will do that for you.

Re: Installing PC fable...

*SIGHS*

On the free roam application it says
FILE
Extract
TNG
Lev (Patched)
LEV (unpatched)

go to FILE OPEN!!!!! find FINALALBION.WAD

Click on that, then click rip.

the folder should look something like this is you do it right.

Albion.jpg

"Does not exsist"

Well then you're not playing fable on your PC. The PC version NEEDS Finalalbion.wad to run.

Re: Installing PC fable...

Ok im using winace does that matter?

(Oh wait i think i know the problem)

Re: Installing PC fable...

I mean I really can't explain it any simpler.
I would search your computer for finalalbion.wad before trying anything.

Re: Installing PC fable...

Theres A folder named "Free roam" but no FinalAlbion.wad

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.

(Just popped up when i clicked rip)
