Is it coming out on PC?

Hey Fablers,

Just a question, it seems that Fable 2 is only being launched on the Xbox 360. What is the deal with this? Please tell me it is going to come out on PC. I LOVE Fable and I am not going to buy a 360 for Fable 2.

So is it going to be released on Fable 2? Perhaps a bit later than the Xbox release (like Fable then Fable: The Lost Chapters)?

I saw in an interview (can't remember where i saw it) that Lionhead wants to perfect fable 2's gameplay on one console first. I suppose it might come out on PC but my guess is it wouldn't be for a fair amount of time. Molyneux really is trying to make this the best RPG ever :)

Id imagine it will at some point but its not been announced for PC yet and remains Xbox 360 exclusive. Also there are many many awesome games on 360 than Fable 2 so wouldnt just be buying it for Fable 2. =]

However i think a PC version will follow the 360 version.

I reckon Fable 2 will be ported over to the PC after, perhaps, a year of being exclusive to the Xbox 360. Microsoft seem to be pushing the whole "Games For Windows" thing and porting all the best selling games to PC with bonus content; the first one that comes to mind using this scheme is Gears of War.

But yeah, my guess is that Fable 2 will eventually be released on PC and will probably feature some sexy bonus content not found on the Xbox 360. Nothing is official, though, just a hunch.

Well I read somewhere it comes out on 360 on 8th June so i'll get a 360 with Fable 2 for my birthday, which is the 10th :D

Later: Guesing for PC with some bonus stuff but you will need Vista

I think that designing for DirectX 9 (XP) instead of 10 (Vista) is like designing for the Xbox instead of the 360

Well if they said there releasing a modding tool wont it have to come out on pc?

The only modding tool to be released was for TMO I'm pretty sure.

cool, i hope u dont need vista tho ive still got good old XP prof

but thanks, i think your all right , nothings offical, but it will probably come out on PC a bit later, maybe a year.

they didnt say it had to be vista cuzz u can see the screens of the new 4th video diray that they are using xp version plus no one likes vista because it tends to crash :realmad:

yeah, the other forums (shock horror) i've been looking at (to do with computer repair/upgrading) mostly say that vista is xp with a different themed desktop, basically. slightly better graphically, but otherwise the same... even the guy who was from the microsoft site!
