is it realy so terrible?

i just read the ign UK review and the one button combat system got alot of flack. is it really such a terrible thing though? i mean it is an rpg not mortal combat. as i played through fable i had no complaints about the combat system and now they brought it to another level so it should be even better. am i the only one to think this way? was anyone else happy with the one button system?

well your absolutly right my friend... i mean it can't be worse then fable 1 and in fable 1 it was okey so i don't think we have anyhing to worry about :>

The only down fall that I can think of is that you have to charge up for skills. So if you are going for a level 5 spell, well, it will take a while. That is unless you have time control magic

But Fable 2 is way better than two human.

Actually i didn't think the first fables combat was so bad. Only the targeting.

I can't really say anything about the combat system yet as I haven't played Fable 2 yet, but I'm still optimistic that it's going to be a blast. Lionhead aren't soft (stupid), Peter Molyneux himself explained that they spent a lot of time revising the combat system, throwing out tons of drafts before settling down with what they have now. I'll check out the IGN review now, though, and see what they've got to say. I'm sure it can't be that bad consideirng they felt that the game deserved a 9.5!

I cant say much about the combat system either. I just use a spell that hits everything around me. So I don't target a single person. But if I do target one person, I don't have much of a hard time.

Combat system is fun and continues to get deeper even after the first run through of the story. I'm more of a FPS player and this has been keeping me interested. I agree that the controls are better than Too Human, especially when dealing with crowds. I haven't died since the story ended but hopefully they keep upping the ante, unlike Too Human where domination turned into no challenge to play and then who cares about grinding for epics.

It is fun. I like how the Y is to shoot ranged. B is magic and x is melee.

And this is why I don't like reviews. Play it for yourself, and find out on your own. It'll be a favorite game for me for a long time to come.

excatly! people are thinking fable II is sposed to be some action packed combo combat system like star wars force unleashed, but they forget the concept, its an 'RPG'
