Is it true?

Is it true that if you rent out the house in Bowerstone, Marry the chick in the house that her child will live in the house. So it is somewhat like having a child. I've heard this from several people (unreliable sources) One said yes it would work 100%
The other said that you could engage the woman (not marry her) keep renting out the house and the kid would stay. the first one sounds unlikely the second one might work.

the situation described in that thread is one in which a child is already in the house you own and you find a woman who looks like him and marry her... as far as I know there is no way of marrying a woman who has the child to begin with like he said...

Notice he says "So it is somewhat like having a child" and not "So you can have a child"

Either way the children in bowerstone live in houses by themselves..So there's no on there with them.

but he was not asking whether it was like having a child, but rather asking if one could marry a woman who already had a child... and he can't... you said he could
