I did check game options they dont have it.....its really annoying like if I play and get far in the game and then go to my old save files to check something out it copies over my far game save

well, to avoid that hassle you should always save your game yourself whenever you stop playing it, whether it has just had an autosave or not

Auto save only copies over autosave I would do periodic manual saves to give yourself a reference point later. I wouldn't count on that for Fable 2 though.

I'm wondering if my whole entire profile is screwed. This is regarding "Fable: The Lost Chapters" for the original Xbox. What happened was the system locked up while the game was in the middle of an autosave right after it got done loading up my world save, thus causing the autosave to become corrupt. Now I can't even load up my world save because it wants to save to the corrupted autosave file but it can't. If it can't autosave then you might as well say my world save is corrupted too.

Should always keep backup saves elsewhere and and keep updated often.

I hero saved quite often, I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. My copy locks up so damn much so I try to hero save alot to make sure I at least make some kind of progress when I have to restart the system. No matter what save I try to load, it'll get hung up on the autosave because it's corrupted.

Anyways, the moral of my story is that there really should've been an option to turn autosave off. I mean, it should've been a no-brainer. I don't exactly have the time to play this all the time but now all of those dozens of hours that I put into my character are gone all because something as common sense as being able to turn off the autosave feature was not implemented here. I really wanted to like this game too.

It's not autosaves fault. You Hero Saved. So it's Partially you're fault. Autosave is a great feature. :lol:

The whole point of why I would hero save is to make SOME kind of progress when my copy of Fable would lock up at what would seem like every five minutes or so. I also have the first model Xbox which might have something to do with it too. It would drive me nuts when I'd get halfway through a quest only to have the game lock up when it would try to load a new area or in the middle of a fight. It gave me peace of mind that I at least was gaining experience and items when I had to reset my system. Can you blame me? I still think there should've been a feature to turn auto save off. That way if I forget to save, the only person I'd have to blame for it is myself. Anyways, all griping aside, at least now I know not to use hero saves. I might start a new game after a few months until the bitterness subsides, thanks for the 411.
