All torrent applications are legal, it's the downloading of copyrighted material that's illegal.
The content provided by Vuze themselves are legal, but those distributed from other users using Vuze (which is content often gathered from other public trackers) is not legal.

In the end it all depends on your sense of liberty, those laws themselves could be deemed unlawful by you. Its up to you man. If you live in America hide behind the freedom of information act or the free education act.
