It's finaly cold in Texas!

It's been in the low 30's for the past 2 days and school has been canceled today and tomorrow...!


Just thought I'd let you guys know...
(most of you guys know I complain about the heat in Texas alot but it's finaly cold! I'm so happy....for the first time in a long time I'M HAPPY!!!!!)

it's weird that you guys would be getting a cold snap down there, when up here we've been having the warmest winter in as long as I can remember...
it was only yesterday that we had our first real snow of the entire winter... kind of backwards really...

are you guys getting lots of snow?
I've been so depressed all winter long because we haven't really had any snow... we would normally be under about 20cm right now... but we've only got about 5... I miss winter...

It's cold.....but it's Texas and that means no snow. In a couple of days it'll probably be in the high 69's

My hose froze solid this morning, no water came out until noon. It literally exploded out. Also my car was covered in thickets of frost and ice chunks.

It's cold.....but it's Texas and that means no snow.

Yeah...some southerners get really excited if there's even a trace of snow that falls on the ground in their neck of the woods. I have some friends who lived in Louisiana a few years ago, and they literally got so excited when about 1/4 of an inch of snow accumulated in their area that they video taped themselves making what were probably the world's smallest snowmen.

It's bitterly cold in Kansas right now. When I woke up this morning the temperature in Lawrence was sitting at eight degrees and the high should be around 28 degrees. Tomorrow, however, the temperature's supposed to get back up to around 40.

Unfortunately, however, the weather men are predicting snow this Sunday here. Whee...just what I want, snow the day before my students are supposed to come back to school.

Woo Hoo! I loves snow!

Mind you, being England, it will be the tiniest smattering of white that melts the instant it hits the ground...either that or we'll be snowed in for half a year. I vote the snow-in! Yay!

Yeah probably end up with just a dusting as usual but i wouldnt mind being snowed in (as long as it wasnt as work )
