Jeez what is happening...

Ok what happened is I was doing the quest to save my kid, I went back to town to take my family to Castle Fairflax to finally buy it. Then BAM, the game freezes with odd streaking lines going across the screen vertically and a disturbing screeching sound coming from my speakers.. couldn't do anything..

Restarted the game and went again but this time I tried saving the game then again is freezes and the same disturbing sound pops up. Restarted again. THIS TIME I get the RRoD and wait 15 min...go back and tried again.

It did the same freeze and sound procedure..

What the hell is happening with my game?

One thing that comes to mind is that you may just be experiencing the freezing bug that lionhead is currently trying to fix (which is what you you should be hoping it is). Or it could be another thing. A much worse thing.

This happened to me about a year ago. I was playing Gears and it froze, crazy noise, and all that fun stuff. I thought it was because I was putting in a long session, so I shut it down and the next day it worked fine. A couple days go by and it does it again. This time I was playing Madden 08. So, again I let it rest, but it continues to do it over and over. Finally it starts to lock up in the dashboard. I reset it. Waited for it to boot up. Didn't boot, and dies. After that it started to red ring, and I had the most exhilarating time trying to deal with XBox support.

So hope it's just the bug and not your xbox going out.

It's not a problem with your game, your just getting the RROD. Call support and they should have it back to you in 2 weeks or less.
