Joining Coop games as Second Hero

Each time i try to join my friends game as my Second hero, the game ends up joining as my first hero. How do i solve this?

Easily, go into your sanctuary, go to options, game management, and load your other hero. It works with couch coop, don't see why it won't online.

I've already tried that, i've done coop with myself to open a demon door and that worked fine. Just whenever i join an online game it joins as Hero 1 instead of Hero 2

Hmm...have you tried saving before joining your friends game? It seems it loads the most recent save. But if memory serves, the game autosaves when you join a game...maybe manually saving will force the game to look for your 2nd hero.
