Lack of a better World
For the Better or the Worse?
May 6th , 2066

Sean sat up against the cold, iron wall of the warehouse. His pistol in hand. He checked his clip, sadly, only a few rounds left, and worse, he kept feeling a sharp pain is his side, a result of his bullet wound, which was bleeding heavily. His blond hair was stained with blood due to his head injuries, blood trickling down his face. He could barley get up, let alone fight off the several enemies searching for him...He gripped onto the wall, and staggered up,he moaned quietly in pain, he heard something little ways behind the nearby crates.
He heard maybe two people talking nearby, "You find him yet?" one said, "Nope, not a clue, ******* must've sneaked off somewhere else, tell the others to look a bit more" he heard a faceless someone say. Sean leaned up against the wall, and limped towards another set of crates nearby.

He quickly sat down, and reloaded his pistol. "Huh? What was that?" he heard someone say, "What wat what?" another one asked, " I don't know, sounded like something hit the floor." Sean did not hesitate, he waited for his enemy too come to him, one of the men walked over to a crate of boxes and looked down into a corner. Waiting there, was a 9mm surprise, "Bingo" Sean said, he pulled the trigger, and a bullet soared into the mans head, and blood spattered over the crates. Sean got up as fast as he could, and limp-ran while unloading the few rounds he had left into three other enemies, and their bodies quickly his the floor.

Sean slowly, but painfully walked away, staggering as he did so. "Huh?" he said, as he heard clips hit the floor, and dove behind a small set of wooded boxes. Bullets flew, some even pierced the boxes and nearly hit him, he couldn't afford to be hit again. So, he opened one of the boxes, and to his great surprised, they each held several c-4 explosives. He had an idea. He slowly but surely got up from his position and quickly, unloaded the rest of his rounds in to his remaining enemies, and there now dead, bloody bodies, hit the hard floor with a hard thump.
He heard the warehouses alarms go off, by now, everyone here, knew he was here as well. That...is not good.

He was out of ammo, so he dropped his pistol and grabbed a fuse from, one of the other crates, the many boxes of explosives in that one area is enough to blow this place to hell and back again. He dragged the fuse over to the exit, and placed it down, while holding a lit match, and as soon as he looked up, there must've been 3 dozen men surrounding him, locked and loaded, ready to fire at will. He looked around, and dropped the match onto the fuse...it lit...The men looked horrified, so they all fired at Sean, but before they knew it, it was walking outside right in front of the warehouse...He thought to himself,
"3...2...1...boom..." There was a load explosion and fire reigned from the warehouse, every explosive in that place went off, fire lti up the sky, and he heard the screams of many men dying, and the loud bangs of the other bombs igniting, and exploding as well.

Sean walked away from the warehouse, up in flames...and he thought to himself "Hmmm...for all I know, this could be the start of something big, perhaps big enough to put many lives in danger...I wonder...but the real question is...was it for the better...or the worse?..."

yep, i plan on making this quite the story. I was originally thinking of using Rhadiel as the main characters name, but i decided to use my own, just spelled completely different, my spelling is Shaun, the characters name is spelled Sean as u can see. I just thought a name change was necessary.
This is going to be a sci fi like story...I mgith get chapter 2 up later, depends wether i hang out with any of my other friends today.

Lack of a Better World
Chapter 2 : Spooked

Sean walked down a long, dark hallway. He steps seemed slow, like he was moving underwater...He saw shadows stretched against the walls. He footsteps echoed throughout the empty halls. He he heard something behind him, he picked up his pace, and started to rush towards the end of the hall. He looked behind himself, and he saw a dark figure at the other end of the hall, speeding towards him. Almost at a glide. He tried to run, but he ran in almost slow motion, he wasn't getting away. He looked back, the figure was almost to him. He tried to run, and tried to reach the door at the end of the hall. He heard laughter on the other side, a child's laughter. He reached out, the whole world seemed to slow almost to a screeching halt...flashes of light, images in his head, he couldn't make them out.

Sean woke up with a jolt, holding his loaded 9mm out in front of him. He clenched his chest in pain and gasped for air. He was sweating heavily. He put his gun on the night stand, and rest his head against his pillow. He looked over at his clock, in bright green letters, it read 3:45 am. He sighed...and stared up at his ceiling. His deep hazel eyes flash along with the lightning striking outside in the storm...He got up, and sat at the edge of his bed. He glared out the window. "Damn...why is it always raining?" he half asked and half complained. He walked over to the window and went to close the blinds, as he did so, he thought he saw something reflected in the window. He opened them back up and saw them back up and saw the reflection of a little girl standing just on the other side of his bed. He whirled around. Nothing was there...

He sighed in relief and closed the blinds and went to get dressed. He as he pulled on his black jacket, he reached for his guns lying on his night stand. He hesitated for a second, then grabbed them both and put them inside his jacket. He walked out of his apartment, and out into the pouring rain. Lightning flash a couple more times as he walked down the sidewalk long the edge of Wayne St. He was soaked by the time he hit the end of the road. He looked up into the sky,and saw a flash of lightning once more, and he thought he saw a face up in the clouds. He shook it off and kept walking along the road. Some lights were starting to come to life, and some some street lights lit his way in the darkness.

He slowed down a bit when he was passing a dark alleyway. He heard something in the darkness. He turned to look in, and peered in through the darkened alley. Slowly, an image of a hooded woman appeared, and she stood in the darkness, pointing her right index finger directly at Sean. He looked closely, and he saw her mouth the words "Behind you!" Sean spun around and a blurred figure sprinted out at him, he drew his guns and fire two rounds in the shadowy creature, it seemed to go right through it, and the thing faded away. Sean, turned around, expecting the woman to be right behind him, but no one was there. He leaned against the wall and breathed heavily.

"What the hell was that?" he asked him self out loud, these were the first words he uttered since 3:45 am...Was it all in his head? He looked around. As if expecting an answer. He looked at his watch...time flew, it was 5:34 am. Sean stared up into the sky, the rain was lifting...He walked down the road ways further. For another half hour, nothing bugged him or anything. He walked up to a small building, The sign above the door read :
Ekkeimai Geisa

Short Chapter

Chapter 3: G.H.O.S.T

Sean walked closer to the door, he leaned forward, and a small scanner appeared in front of him. He took his two fingers and placed them over his eye to open his eyelids wider. A red light ran across his right eye. He stood back up, he blinked a little, the light always made his eye water. The door opened, and he walked into a small darkened hallway. Sean stared into the darkness, and started down the hall. Lights lit up as he walked, and slowly revealed large double doors at the other end. He approached the doors, and entered slowly. He was in a very large room, filled with offices and and other corridors. A man standing behind a counter said " Hey Sean the big guy wants to see you in his office." Sean looked at him and nodded. Several other people watched him as he walked by.

He walked quickly to a large wooden door, and pushed it open. Inside was what seemed to be a church. He walked down the center row. While a man in black garb stood at the end of the row , in front of a pedestal.
Sean walked up and said coolly " Hey father, whats up?" The man turned around, he was tall, gray hair, and a mustache, he also sported a pair of glasses that reflected his green eyes. "Hello Sean, and please, be a bit more formal." Sean looked down "Ah, yes. Sorry father." "Yes, I called you here to brief you on a mission." Father said. "What is it?" Sean asked. "Your mission, is to escort a man." Sean looked up. "An escort? What for?" "You are too escort this man from here to another G.H.O.S.T facility in New Jersey. He is a very important man who needs to be protected." Father replied. Sean asked "And then?"...Father looked troubled "I'm sorry, but I can't tell you the rest. Its top secret."

Sean sat down. He looked up at Father, who was staring into the fire next to the pedestal. "That man may be the one who can save the world from total turmoil. Your only job is to get him where he needs to go." Sean nodded, and stood up. He started to walk away. "The man is waiting for you out front. Don't let me down Sean." He said nothing...
