Lame boss battles? (Spoilers)
It's something that's been on my mind for awhile, and don't get me wrong-- I loved this game. Like, best buddies for ever, I would take it out for ice cream loved it. Even so, I am a little saddened at the lack of bosses in the game.
Where was the Kraken?
Where was the giant scorpion?
Or even better... new giant monsters?
Instead, there were only trolls and upjumped regular enemies who took slightly more damage to kill-- or had a single magic ability that you could use too.
Thag was easy and basic. That's okay. I understand. He was the games first boss.
Up next there was the bandit leader Ripper. He could use assassins rush, which made him almost a threat. Ripper actually didn't let me down as an early game boss. He was, perhaps, just difficult enough for that point in the game.
There was Cornelius Grim, who was just a regular Shadow Swordsman, except he could shoot level 1 magic swords at you. I emptied one clip of my gun into him and he was done.
The Commandant was probably the toughest boss in the game, because you have to fight him without any good equipment and he also has minions-- lame as they are. Even so, he's still just a regular enemy with more health.
There was the leader of the Assassins Guild. I didn't even realize I'd killed him until the quest completion screen popped up. He was a Highwayman with a hat, apparently.
There was the Hobbe Leader. He was a normal Hobbe-mancer who could dodge bullets at close range like a Spire Soldier. He *also* died extremely quickly. I won't even JUSTIFY calling Tommy a boss.
Then, finally-- a boss with a unique look! The Undead Leader guarding the gemstone in the Graveyard cave. He was like a huge, muscular Hollow Man. Sadly, he wasn't even aggressive. He just stood there while I killed all his minions and then capped him down as well.
I just wish I could have fought something... I don't know... difficult. I guess.
