Latest Stuff.

So I've played around in Photoshop lately, and expiremented with some self-taught techniques of mine (don't like tutorials)..

Soo, I got a new program today, so I can begin painting on here and possibly mixing that into my future signatures. Then I'll be able to produce pieces far more artistic than these (like I've been wanting for a good while now), and much more complex with finer detail where needed.

Work on your text, remember text is not always needed in a sig. diagonally placed is not a good placement for it. If you cannot find a good placement simply leave it out. I see you are familiar to filters, but you use them too excessively. Your colour could do with more vibrancy. alot of your sigs look washed out. Focal seems to be a problem too. It takes me awhile to find where to focus on. Alot of your tags also lack depth and composition.

Try some more tutorials out You'll get it.

Thanks for the comments everyone. And yeah, Andy.. It feels good to be creating new stuff again, lots of ideas I want to try out this time, and alot of techniques I wanna start creating.

Haha, thanks for the generous offer, but I'm gonna have to pass on that (tutorials just tell me things I already know, thus I stopped taking them a very long time ago). I appreciate it though.

Wanted to go for a comic book art-style with this one, with the idea of them battling in a blizzard. I hope I nailed the comic book look okay. I had to re-paint the entire cutout that's within the signature's frame (was a fun task, then erased some bits that looked quite jaggy & low-quality), and applied some sketches here and there to try and pull off the desired look I wanted. I'm mostly pleased with how I did the lighting though. I'm still getting used to my other new programs, but this one is just a first from it.

And in case anyone was wondering if I used brushes for the background and other small parts.. I didn't.

My thoughts are, you have a gift with the air brush. I'm lousy at it. Everytime I try to do a picture, it gets deleted. Love that last one, too.

Here's a new piece I made for another competition. :ninja:

Took me hours to smudge everything, but.. I feel it was worth it. Just expirementing, so once I fool around with it more, I'll be able to get it done alot quicker and more efficiently next time.

You know, it's weird saying this, but I'm actually not a big fan of that last one...It just doesn't fit my tastes. The smudging looks really hard though, so I can appreciate the effort it took to create the image.
