Laziness and trading empires...

People seem to love trading for things, as well as attatching huge price tags to them and demanding unrealistically rare items in bulk.

However there's another side to it.

Trading for rubbish like the items you need to get the stuff from the Box of Secrets. I can understand the convenience, but searching for these simple and easily found items is part of the fun...
I mean, once or twice is fine. Not everyone wants to trudge through Albion finding books, but I've seen them so frequently it's become kind of silly...

Then you've got people building up their stores of highly requested items with which they can build veritable trading empires built on Highroller Coats, Wreckagers, Potions of Life, Red Dragons... Things like that. Entrepreneurship at it's finest if I do say so myself.

Anyway it's two sides of the same coin...

Any comments on this? Or am I just a tedious asshole?

Re: Laziness and trading empires...

I know this one time I saw an idiot, AFable2Fan I think hoarding Potions of life, Wreckengers, HRC's and other rare items!!! ABSURD!
But in all seriousness I agree. + rep for the valid point.
But rarely do I trade my hoarded items may I say.

Re: Laziness and trading empires...

Oh no no no. I think you've got a fine business. It's the other side of the coin that I think is a bit ridiculous...

Re: Laziness and trading empires...

trading like that is absurd, I mean, the only thing you really need to trade for is the dolls, every other item can be found on your own....

Re: Laziness and trading empires...

I think its funny how people need puny carrots and table wine. Not hard to find. I'm just trying to collect hero dolls. Oh,by the way Patrick. I have 2 more POL for you if you want them.

I see what you mean, I forgot which thread, but he was selling a Red Dragon for 4 or 5 Potions of life. I mean, I trie hard to get them but...

Re: Laziness and trading empires...

This thread lacks much of a point.

If all your doing is dressing up a complaint about people trading for easy to find things because you consider it fun to look for them, people have said the same thing before and in much shorter posts.

*snooze*

That is true and I do hope to see Peter make a better trading system as in this one you have to have complete fate and trust in the person you're trading with.Surely there would be an update,a patch or a dlc for the trading system and make it better like:There's a bag and there are some options:25% of items,50% of items,75% of items and 100% of items in both taking and giving. Both players can choose from those options or pick as many items as they want from each other and every items picked goes into the bags and under the bag is a number of how many items it's holding. When both players are happy with what they picked they(both of them)click on "Deal".Better?Or worse?

Re: Laziness and trading empires...

I usually help people out that are in the BoS and missing something like Puny Carrots, which I couldn't find to save my life later in my game since all my economies were 5 star. I had to sabotage my Oakfield economy to get them.

Now if I am around Knothole and hear people need Regal Purple Dye or a Murgo Book I like to help if I can.

It is practacally impossible to have all your economies with 5stars.The Guild's economy can never change. It could if it were possible to make it a more famous place or something like that.

Re: Laziness and trading empires...

I also am unable to buy anything in the Guild Cave. I meant anywhere that actually had traders.
