E3 is such a whirlwind of energy that game companies are so excited to showcase their goods, they accidentally reveal things they say they shouldn't. Take Fable III as an example, and how local co-op has been confirmed by someone who works on the game. ​

Thanks to a private interview with a Lionhead studios' project leader who worked on all three Fable games, it has been leaked that Fable III is indeed destined for local co-op. While Fable II did have co-op, it was implemented in a way that felt like an afterthought. Albie assured us this wasn't the case for the new game.​

After a lengthy discussion and consensus regarding the great fun of local multiplayer co-op LAN parties of old (Diablo 2 and Baulder's Gate anybody?) the developer indicated that local co-op is going to be a fully baked feature, but it simply wasn't ready to show at E3 yet.

Naturally, we at the Kartel are already salivating with RPG excitement. While there has been no official release by Microsoft or Lionhead regarding the subject, everybody is eager to see what the studio's next move is regarding local multiplayer.​

I would like to say HOOAH!

I was really excited for couch co-op in F2 and then... it sucked. I want to be able to play with my sister and actually enjoy kicking ass together rather than being driven insane by the ****ty camera.

And yes, I realize I am late, but I only just saw this on the main page. Slow on the uptake.

Just got back from a long forum break, saw this, got excited. Even if they don't have friendly duels, I'll be happy just to be able to play local co-op.

Can't wait, i wonder if the dogs will react to each other, if i heard correctly from another interview about the players being able to bring their hero and dog with them.

Mr Molyneux mentioned this and said that you are now free to search your friends world without being restricted on how far you can go. I know, awesome right !

probably one of the single most reasons i am getting the game, right behind the new flourishes, and spell weaving.

I hope you'll actually being able to move around, on your own screen not just stick with the other person.

From what i understand you will have your own screen, which you will be able to complete other quests not the same ones.

yes from wat all the videos ive seen you are free to ruin your partners worlds, tho im sure they're will be like a safety button...yes it is splitscreen,also ive heard you can marry and have sex with them and have kids... basically two hero's coming in one word free to do watever the **** they want!
But well just have to see, right Mate!
